• Increase self-esteem and ability to care for oneself through personal boundary setting
• Reduce preoccupation with food and break the compulsive cycle of overeating
• Release food from being your enemy or "significant other"
• Confront underlying problems to experience relief and establish lasting change

  Why a turtle on the website?

  The turtle is a symbol of persistent progress. A caption on a poster with a large turtle says,
 "YOU ONLY MAKE PROGRESS WHEN YOU STICK YOUR NECK OUT"! Progress and healing
  become realities when the concepts of the program are activated and used consistently.

 Why the rainbow and clouds?

 The photo of the rainbow and the clouds was taken after a summer rain. They are also symbols.
 Clouds are in people's lives because of their being human and living in a broken world.
 A rainbow is a reminder of the promise of hope and a person's ability to persevere in the  presence of difficult challenges.
